UINTA-WASATCH-CACHE NATIONAL FOREST, Utah-The Heber-Kamas Ranger District of the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest has given a recreation update for campgrounds on district land.
Open Campgrounds
Aspen Grove: The fee is $24 for single units (up to 8 people) and $46 for double units (up to 16 people). Water is available and reservations are required.
Cobblerest: The fee is $22 for single units which are all that are available at Cobblerest. This campground opened Friday. There is no water at Cobblerest, so campers must bring their own supply. Reservations for Cobblerest are not required.
Ledgefork: The fee is $22 for single units and $26 for double units. No water is available at Ledgefork and reservations are required.
Lodgepole: single units ($24), double units ($46), group units ($175, up to 50 people; $335, up to 100 people) and day use ($10 per vehicle) are all available. Water is available and a reservation is required.
Lower Provo: single units ($18) are available. There is no water and a reservation is required.
Pine Valley Group: Group A ($220, 120 people), Group B ($170, 60 people) and Group C ($290, 140 people) are available. There is no water and a reservation is required. This campsite opened Friday.
Ponderosa Group: Groups ($105, 100 people) are permitted. There is no water and a reservation is required. This campsite opened Friday.
Renegade: This campsite features single ($24, 8 people), double ($46, 16 people), long term ($450; $2,130), day-use ($10 per vehicle) and boat launch ($9 per boat) rates. Water is available and a reservation is required.
Shady Dell: This campsite features single ($21, 8 people), double ($41, 16 people) and day use ($9 per vehicle) rates. Water is available and a reservation is required. This campsite opened Friday.
Currant Creek, Lilly Lake, Lost Creek, Mill Hollow, Mirror Lake, Moosehorn and Shingle Creek campgrounds are all closed.
