Grand County Leaders Don’t Want Reservations At Arches National Park

(Moab, UT) — Grand County leaders don’t want a reservation system at Arches National Park. The Grand County Commission voted five to two last week to send a letter to Interior Secretary Doug Burgum. The letter asked Burgum to consider options other than timed-entry, such as a modern shuttle system or building a new northern entrance to the park. Visitation has dropped by about 350-thousand people since the park began requiring reservations in 2022. The commission said timed-entry is one of the factors that could be limiting visitation and harming the area economy.
