(Salt Lake City, UT) — Thousands gathered in Salt Lake City yesterday to honor former LDS President Russell M. Nelson. The funeral service was presided over by President Dallin H. Oaks, with attendees remembering Nelson for his leadership of the church and his accomplishments as a heart surgeon. A motorcade escorted the church prophet to his final resting place at a Salt Lake City cemetery, as members reflected on his decades of guidance and kindness. Nelson died September 27th at the age of 101.
