Forest Service Investing $18-Million To Curb Utah Wildfire Risk

(South Jordan, UT) — The U.S. Forest Service is investing millions of dollars to reduce the risk of wildfires in Utah. The Forest Service will invest more than 18-million dollars over the next few years to clear out potential grounds fuels in the Unita-Wasatch-Cache National Forest. Forest Service officials said the need to clear out the land is higher than ever, given Utah’s rising population and people living closer to the forests.
