Flags To Be Lowered For Late Congresswoman

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Flags will be lowered next week in honor of the late Utah Congresswoman Mia Love. The 49-year-old died last month after a battle with brain cancer. Governor Spencer Cox ordered that flags be lowered to half-staff on Monday at sunrise. That is the day Love will be laid to rest after lying in state at the Utah State Capitol Rotunda on Sunday. She was the first Black Republican woman in Congress and Utah’s first Black lawmaker.
