E.coli detected in water, boiling order issued for Soldier Hollow Complex

MIDWAY, Utah-Wednesday, the Charleston Water Conservancy District issued a boiling order for the Soldier Hollow Complex after E. coli was detected in the water supply.

This boil order is affecting people at Soldier Hollow Golf Course, Soldier Hollow Grill and the Soldier Hollow Olympic venue, officials confirmed.

Authorties reported the drinking water became contaminated when a construction accident caused a break in the distribution system Tuesday.

Officials reported the contamination was not discovered until Wednesday.

Anyone who visited these venues between 3:30 pm Tuesday and 6:00 pm Wednesday is advised to monitor their health for possible E.coli infection.

Authorities confirmed that E.coli is most likely to affect those with weakened immune systems, including babies, children and the elderly.

Anyone who visited the affected area Tuesday or Wednesday and is experiencing persistent symptoms of diarrhea, cramps, nausea, headaches or other symptoms is advised to seek medical advice.
