Dollar Ridge Fire: July 10

DUCHESNE COUNTY, Utah-Tuesday, as the Dollar Ridge Fire continues, it appears that many evacuees from the blaze will be allowed to return home Wednesday.

In a collaborative report from KSL-TV’s Sean Moody and Caitlin Burchhill, there will be a pair of vital Tuesday meetings concerning those who have property inside the fire zone at 10:00 am and 6:00 pm respectively.

The Fruitland LDS Church will serve as host for both of these meetings, Moody reports, and presents an opportunity for residents with property inside the fire zone to officially find out about the status of their property.

These meetings are not open to the media or the public. The meetings will be presided over by members of the damage assessment team as they will discuss their findings.

Per Utah Wildfire, the containment still remains at 45 percent. Primarily, Tuesday’s responsibilities for firefighters consist of “patrolling and mopping up hot spots” and will burn out in areas along the line where it can be done safely.

Temperatures are anticipated to be in the lower 80’s as monsoonal moisture, including occasional thunderstorms, should prevail in the region once again.

Winds should emerge from the south-southwest with gusts at 6-12 miles per hour. At peak point, gusts may reach 30 miles per hour.
