(Salt Lake City, UT) — Two more Republicans are joining what’s becoming a crowded race for Utah’s GOP Senate nomination. Third Congressional District Representative John Curtis and attorney Brent Hatch announced on Tuesday they’re running to fill the seat now held by Republican Senator Mitt Romney. Romney announced in September that he would not run for re-election this year. Curtis is serving his fourth term in the U.S. House. Hatch is a career attorney who served in the Reagan and George H.W. Bush administrations. His father, the late Orrin Hatch, held the Senate seat for 42 years before retiring in 2019.
