CU Fined By Big 12 For Slurs Toward BYU

(Irving, TX) — The Big 12 Conference rules the University of Colorado must pay 50-thousand-dollars after fans directed inappropriate chants at BYU during Saturday’s football game. Commissioner Brett Yormark said hateful and discriminatory language has no place in the conference. CU-Boulder President Justin Schwartz and Athletic Director Rick George said Monday that the fan behavior does not represent the campus values of inclusion and integrity.
