Cox Supports Banning Smartphones In K-12 Classrooms

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Spencer Cox says he supports banning smartphones in Utah’s K-through-12 classrooms. Cox said yesterday there is “overwhelming” evidence that smartphones contribute to learning loss. The governor said he plans to contact every school in the state and ask principals to keep smartphones from being used in class.
