Claire Kieffer Competes At Idaho Dual For Dixie State Swimming

MOSCOW, Idaho-Saturday, Dixie State women’s swimming competed at the Idaho Dual Saturday at the UI Swim Center.

With the Vandals prevailing 178-110, Trailblazers sophomore freestyle competitor Claire Kieffer, a former Wasatch High School star contributed to Dixie State’s cause in several events.

Kieffer swam the anchor leg for Dixie State’s 200-yard medley relay B team. The squad swam a time of 1:49.01 while she was joined by freshman free/back/fly competitor Aliza Smith, freshman free/breast Kathryn Carter and freshman fly/free/breast Danyael Nicole Cuison.

Kieffer placed third (24:68) in the women’s 50-yard freestyle and eighth in the women’s 100-yard freestyle (55.17).

Kieffer and her Dixie State teammates are next in action February 17-20 at the WAC Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships at St. George.
