Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints General Conference To Focus on Restoration

SALT LAKE CITY-The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed that general conference April 4 and 5 will focus on the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the earth.

This spring commemorates the 200th anniversary of Joseph Smith’s First Vision at the Sacred Grove near Palmyra, N.Y.

Church President Russell M. Nelson gave a prelude for the importance of this conference this past October during the Church’s last general conference, saying it would focus primarily upon the Restoration.

These conference sessions will also be digital only as each of them will be broadcast from a small auditorium on Temple Square.

These sessions will be presided over and conducted by the First Presidency.

Only those who will be speaking or praying at the sessions will be invited to attend. All of the music for this conference has been prerecorded previously.
