Church Announces No More Lighting Ceremony For Temple Square Christmas Lights

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will no longer hold a lighting ceremony for its Temple Square Christmas Lights. The church announced that due to ongoing renovations, only part of the square will be lit up this year and there will be no formal ceremony where the lights are turned on for the first time. The lights will be on every day from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. until January 1st.
