Changes Made To “Trans Bathroom Bill”

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Big changes have been made to Utah’s controversial “trans bathroom bill”. House Bill 257 originally banned people from using public restrooms that don’t align with the gender on their birth certificate, but this is no longer the case. The current version of the bill allows people to use whatever public bathroom they prefer, but school children will be required to use the bathroom that aligns with their birth gender. The same rule applies to public changing rooms. The bathroom bill could be up for a vote as soon as today.
