(Provo, UT) — Police in Provo believe they’ve finally solved a decades-old missing person case. Seventeen-year-old Robby Lynn Peay ran away from a Salt Lake City youth treatment center in 1983. Authorities discovered a body at Arches National Park that same year, but initial forensic testing did not let investigators positively identify Peay. The police department announced yesterday that DNA testing allowed them to identify the body as Peay’s. Police say they believe Peay’s death was a homicide and the case is still being investigated.
