Board Of Higher Ed To Establish Safety Task Force

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Utah Board of Higher Education is establishing a task force on campus safety. That’s after a unanimous vote last week to take a deeper look at the issue. This comes in the wake of the shooting death of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University last month. Board Commissioner Geoffrey Landward says it’s a way to understand exactly what happened, and to see what steps can be taken to prevent violence on college campuses across the state.
