(Salt Lake City, UT) — A legislative audit revealed that two deceased individuals voted in Utah’s November 2023 election, prompting recommendations for better voter roll maintenance. The audit found over 14-hundred deceased voters still listed, with nearly 700 marked as active, including the two who voted. Auditors urged the lieutenant Governor’s Office to improve its process by regularly comparing death records with voter rolls. The office agreed and outlined plans to enhance data sharing and audit procedures.
