(Salt Lake City, UT) — Critics of Utah’s proposed Constitutional Amendment D on citizen-led ballot initiatives say the wording of the question that will be on the ballots this fall is misleading. The text was provided by Utah House Speaker Mike Schultz and Senate President Stuart Adams. That wording was made public on the state’s election website this week, along with the text of three other proposed constitutional changes facing voters this November. Each question requires at least 50-percent support to change the constitution. Schultz and Adams issued a statement saying their goal was to “provide a straightforward and concise description.”
