PROVO, Utah-Wednesday, the Wasatch High School girls cross coutry team took the team championship at the 2019 Timpview Invitational title at Kiwanis Park.
The Wasps’ girls posted a score of 39 to take the championship. Alta senior Morgan Jensen took the girls’ individual title in a time of 18:01.20. Wasatch star junior Abbie Randall (18:51.90) placed third overall.
Freshman Emma Page (19:46.10) placed eighth overall and senior Anna Baird finished 10th (20:07.70).
Freshman Allison Munck placed 12th (20:15.00) and fellow freshman Lillie Randall placed 15th (20:29.80). Senior Madelyn King (20:31.70) finished 16th and junior Danielle Krull placed 22nd (20:46.70).
For the boys, the Mountain Ridge Sentinels took the team title with a score of 30 with Wasatch placing third with a score of 77.
Grand County’s Malachi Ricks (16:00.20) won the individual title. Wasatch’s boys were paced by senior Josh Horner (16:46.10) and junior Conner Weldon (16:50.20) who placed eighth and ninth, respectively.
Senior Bentley Ackerson placed 16th (17:11.20) and freshman Trevor Hardy (17:17.10) finished 19th.
Senior Josh Benson (17:24.60) placed 28th and sophomore Carson Guymon (17:28.10) fiinished 29th.
Sophomore Jake Giles rounded out the Wasps competing at the invitational as he finished 32nd (17:32.60).
