Wasatch High School Performing Arts presents The Scarlet Pimpernel with shows on November 13, 15, and 16 at 7 pm. Leading roles by Jefferson Murdock, Grant Rigby and Abigail Scott are as good as anything you would see in professional productions. Their voice talents are incredible, Jefferson Murdock steals the show as Sir Percival Blakeney, with the perfect mix of charism to match his comical timing, which brings a level of humor and fun every time he is on stage. Leading lady, Abbigail Scott has mastered the french accent perfectly, and her powerful voice gives life to the character Marguerite. Grant Rigby plays the character Chauvelin, who brings strength and power to the stage with his acting and smooth vocals. The costumes are a delight, with French styled wigs, bright dresses and even a guillotine that surprises the audiences with it’s very real like blade. Director Laurie Turnblom has done it again with this wonderful production, leading students to another fantastic performance. Also included in this production is a live orchestra directed by Janice Vincent, and music direction by Stephen Reynolds. The time and energy that the students and teachers have put into this play is apparent and professionalism of the show is astounding. You don’t want to miss the final performances this week at the Wasatch High School auditorium. You may buy tickets online or at the box office for $12, but tickets are limited because of the popularity of the show.
