(Salt Lake City, UT) – A Utah woman picked up by immigration agents and facing deportation is being given a temporary stay. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement released Silvia Avelar-Flores from custody yesterday. The immigration agency says Flores has 90 days to leave the United States under a deportation order handed down 20 years ago. The woman’s arrest last week during a shopping trip with her daughter prompted a protest at the West Valley City ICE office on Wednesday.Â
