LOGAN, Utah (AP) — Utah officials say a child has died after being crushed by a trailer ramp.
The Cache County Sheriff’s Office says the 8-year-old child had been climbing on a steel ramp to a “snowmobile-type” trailer in Cove Monday before it pinned the child to the ground. Emergency crews took the child to a hospital in Logan. The child was later transferred to a Salt Lake City hospital where he died.
Police say the incident is being investigated as a “tragic accident.”
A release by the Sheriff’s Office says no further information will be released out of respect to those involved.
