CLEVELAND (AP) — The Cavaliers’ NBA record-tying 13-game playoff winning streak is over after the Boston Celtics earned a 111-108 victory at Cleveland to get within two games to one in the Eastern Conference finals. The Celtics trailed by as many as 21 points in the third quarter but won it on Avery Bradley’s 3-pointer with under one second to play. Marcus Smart shot 7-for-10 from 3-point range and finished with a team-high 27 points, while Bradley added 20.

CLEVELAND (AP) — The Celtics will spend the rest of the playoffs without leading scorer Isaiah Thomas because of a hip injury. Head coach Brad Stevens says Thomas could require surgery to repair a hip impingement, adding that the All-Star guard had been bothered by the injury since March. Thomas was averaging 23.3 points and 6.7 assists in the postseason.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Bryan Rust, Phil Kessel (KES’-ul) and Sidney Crosby each had a goal and an assist as the Pittsburgh Penguins clobbered the Ottawa Senators, 7-0 to take a three-games-to-two lead in the NHL’s Eastern Conference finals. Matt Murray stopped 21 shots to win his second straight start following a six-week injury layoff. Senators netminder Craig Anderson struggled on his 36th birthday, surrendering four goals on 14 shots in less than one period of work.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — James Davison will replace Sebastien Bourdais (bohr-DAY’) in next Sunday’s Indianapolis 500. Bourdais crashed during qualifying Saturday, leaving the four-time Champ Car season champion with multiple fractures in his pelvis and a fractured right hip. Scott Dixon has grabbed the pole for the Indy 500 with a four-lap average of 232.164 mph in yesterday’s qualifying.

UNDATED (AP) — Bernhard Langer (LAHN’-gur) pulled away from the other contenders and captured the Regions Tradition in Birmingham to match Jack Nicklaus’ record of eight major titles on the PGA Tour Champions circuit. Billy Horschel parred the first playoff hole to win the AT&T Byron Nelson near Dallas. And Lexi Thompson completed a wire-to-wire victory in the LPGA’s Kingsmill Championship by closing with a 6-under 65.
