(Hurricane, UT)  –  The man accused of child abuse for allegedly attacking his girlfriend’s eight-year-old son will reportedly take a plea deal.  The Spectrum reports Michael Mason pleaded not guilty to five charges in court yesterday but his attorney said he expects him to take a plea agreement offered by prosecutors.  Mason is accused of punching and choking the child while he argued with her mother.  He also allegedly punched the woman and forced her to the ground by her hair.  The judge scheduled a change of plea hearing for next week. Â
