(Reno, NV) — The Salt Lake Bees smacked 15 hits en route to a 7-1 win over the Aces in the opener of a four-game set in Reno. Jefry Marte hit a two-run homer for Salt Lake, which improved to 51-and-44. Kaleb Cowart added three hits and two RBI in the win. The series continues tonight.
Elsewhere in minor league baseball, the Orem Owlz rode a three-run seventh to a 3-2 win over the Mustangs in Billings. Orem is 20-and-7 on the season. The Raptors suffered an 8-6 loss to the Helena Brewers in Ogden. The Raptors fell to 14-and-14 on the year.
