Utah State Football Heading To Mountain West Football Media Summit

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Utah State football will be participating in the Mountain West Media Summit, which is being held on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 25-26, at The Cosmopolitan.

Fifth-year head coach Matt Wells, senior safety Dallin Leavitt (Portland, Ore./Central Catholic HS/BYU) and senior quarterback Kent Myers (Rowlett, Texas/Sachse HS) will represent Utah State at this year’s meetings.

All six member institutions of the West Division will meet with the media on Tuesday, while the six members of the Mountain Division will meet with the media on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, the Mountain West announced its preseason order of finish for the upcoming 2017 season and Utah State was picked to finish sixth in the Mountain Division.

Fans can stay up-to-date on all the events during the MW Football Media Summit via USU Athletics’ three social media platforms: Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, utilizing the official hashtag: MWFB.

Mountain West festivities for Utah State will begin on Tuesday evening when fans will have the opportunity to watch Leavitt and Myers engage in some social media activities from 7:45-8:15 p.m. (MT) live on the Mountain West Facebook page (Facebook.com/MountainWestConference).

On Wednesday, fans can watch a pair of newsmaker roundtables that will delve into national topics that are at the forefront of the college football enterprise. The first roundtable will be from 9-9:45 a.m., and will include all six Mountain Division coaches including Wells, while the second roundtable will be from 10-10:45 a.m. (MT), and speakers on that roundtable will include Bill Hancock from the College Football Playoff and Kelly Stouffer of ESPN.

For the first time in 2017, the Mountain West will be using a 360 camera live from its Football Media Summit. Viewers will be able to tune in from various locations within the Media Summit rooms for exclusive access. This content will be live exclusively on the Mountain West’s official facebook page.

Utah State will begin the 2017 season at Wisconsin on Friday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. (MT), in a game that will be televised nationally on ESPN. USU’s home opener will be on Thursday, Sept. 7, against Idaho State at 6 p.m., while its Mountain West opener will be at San José State on Saturday, Sept. 23.

Fans can become season ticket holders for as low as $110. New for 2017 are Value Season Ticket Plans, which include four adult season tickets on the east side of the stadium starting at $450. Youth season tickets are available for just $60 and Family Plans, consisting of two adult tickets and three youth tickets, can be purchased for as low as $340.
