(Memphis, TN) — The Redbirds scored three times in the seventh to pull out a 3-2 win over the Salt Lake Bees in the opener of a four-game set in Memphis. Bo Way smacked a two-run single for Salt Lake, which dropped to 54-and-49. The Bees had only four hits in defeat. The series continues this evening.
Elsewhere in minor league baseball, the Orem Owlz were beaten in 11 innings by the Billings Mustangs, 4-3. Orem dropped to 24-and-11 on the year. The Ogden Raptors rolled to a 9-3 win over the Brewers in Helena. The Raptors are 20-and-15 on the season.
