(Salt Lake City, UT) — The Salt Lake Bees edged the Tacoma Rainiers, 3-2, at Smith’s Ballpark. Michael Hermosillo hit a solo homer and scored all three runs for the Bees, who improved to 63-and-61. John Lamb allowed only one earned run in seven innings to get the win. The third installment of the four-game set is tonight.
Elsewhere in minor league baseball, the Orem Owlz hammered the Brewers, 11-2, in Helena. Orem improved to 37-and-15 with the victory. The Raptors suffered an 11-6 loss to the Great Falls Voyagers in Ogden. The Raptors are 33-and-20.
