SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, covid-19 statistics for Utah were updated by the state department of health.
281,797 Utahns have been vaccinated. This is an increase of 14,770 from Thursday’s totals.
Of those, 233,534 Utahns (82.9 percent) have received one dose.
48,263 Utahns (17.1 percent) have received the recommended two doses.
In Wasatch County, 2,972 residents have been vaccinated.
Of these, 2,649 (89.1 percent) have received one dose.
323 Wasatch County residents (10.9 percent) have received two doses.
87.64 percent of Utah covid-19 cases (301,462-343,962) are recovered. This is a Utah state-record for the fourth consecutive day.
11.9 percent of covid-19 cases statewide (40,845-343,962) are active cases.
In the past 24 hours, new recoveries (3,824) exceeded new active cases (-2,342) and new net recorded cases (1,517).
There are 260,617 more recoveries than active cases statewide.
Of the 13,353 all-time hospitalizations for covid-19, 446 are currently hospitalized or 3.33 percent.
Of the 446, 148 are in ICU or 33.2 percent of ICU occupancy statewide.
88 percent of ICU beds are occupied statewide and 92 percent of ICU referral center beds.
1,655 deaths have been attributed to covid-19 statewide or 0.481 percent of all-time cases.
Wasatch County School District has 65 active cases out of 633 all-time cases or 10.3 percent. This is down from Thursday’s 10.7 percent.
Wasatch County has 4,036 all-time cases, 92 all-time hospitalizations and 16 all-time deaths attributed to the virus.
