SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints confirmed several temples worldwide will reach various levels of progression under the Salt Lake City-based faith’s protocol.
The Philadelphia Pennsylvania Temple will advance to Phase 1 of reopening and the Quetzaltenango Guatemala Temple will regress from Phase 2 to Phase 1.
Phase 1 entails living husband-and-wife sealings by appointment.
The Calgary Alberta and Edmonton Alberta Temples have advanced from Phase 1 to Phase 2. Phase 2 entails open for all living ordinances only with restrictions.
The Melbourne Australia Temple has entered Phase 3. This could be considered an Australian Day present to the city from the Church. Australia Day occurs annually January 26 in the nation, commemorating the 1788 arrival of the First Fleet at Port Jackson in New South Wales, Australia.
