Elder Gong Extends Invitations to Latter-day Saint Youth In The New Year

SALT LAKE CITY-Sunday evening, Elder Gerrit W. Gong of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Quorum of Twelve Apostles extended three invitations to young adults throughout the world during a fireside he co-hosted with his wife, Susan.

Elder Gong encouraged his audience to “make deliberate attempts to slow down and engage in a more reflective kind of faith life.”

This entails, he said, “an appreciation for the wonders of the heavens, the beauties of the earth and the inspirations of art, literature and music.”

Elder Gong also asked young adults to “change the future now.” He suggested this can be done by sustaining “multi-generational relationships that will bless you and those around you for years to come.”

Finally, Elder Gong exhorted his audience to “trust the Lord of the harvest to help you become a better you.”

On Twitter, Elder Gong also sent out a special message entailing the things that had been discussed.
