SALT LAKE CITY-Elder Samuel Joseph Iseh Jr., a 20-year-old missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, passed away per information released by the Salt Lake City-based faith Friday.
Church spokesman Sam Penrod confirmed Elder Iseh was serving in the Nigeria Lagos Mission and experienced “a sudden health episode” that was unrelated to covid-19 Friday.
Elder Iseh was a native of Port Harcourt, Nigeria, which is 625 kilometres or 388.4 miles, southeast of Lagos, the Nigerian capital city.
Elder Iseh had been serving in the mission field since May 2019. The Church expresses its deepest sympathies to family and friends, praying that they will be comforted during this arduous time.
