PROVO, Utah-Tuesday, BYU junior tackle Brady Christensen was named to another All-American team as The Sporting News made him a second-team All-American.
The 6-6 300-pound Bountiful High School product has now been named to seven All-American teams this season.
He is the first BYU football standout to be named to numerous All-American teams since former Cougars tight end Dennis Pitta in 2009.
Joining Christensen on this team was Utah junior linebacker Devin Lloyd, who was also named to the second team.
This commemorates the seventh consecutive season a Ute was named as a Sporting News All-American.
Lloyd posted 48 tackles in 2020, including a team-high 10 tackles for a loss and two sacks.
Lloyd, who is also a finalist for the Butkus Award (annually awarded to the top linebackers in high school, college and pro football), ranks eighth in the FBS and fifth in the Pac-12 in tackles per game (6.6).
