ANAHEIM, Calif.-In news released Wednesday, the Los Angeles Angels announced the Salt Lake Bees, the Major League Baseball club’s Triple-A affiliate, has been invited to join their player development pipeline.
This development pipeline is, as described on mlb.com, “a collaborative effort between MLB and USA Baseball to establish an official identification and player development pathway for amateur baseball players in the United States.”
The Bees have served as the Angels’ Triple-A affiliate since 2001.
Other Angels affiliates to receive this distinction include the Rocket City Trash Pandas (the Double-A affiliate at Madison, Ala.) and the Inland Empire 66ers (the Single-A affiliate at San Bernardino, Calif.)
