Tuesday covid-19 Report for Utah

SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, statistics were updated by the Utah State Department of Health for covid-19.

69.9 percent of covid-19 cases in Utah are recovered (95,975-137,385) per Tuesday’s report.

29.7 percent of covid-19 cases statewide are active cases (40,738-137,385).

Of the 6,284 all-time hospitalizations for covid-19, 435 are currently hospitalized or 6.92 percent statewide.

Of the 435, 185 are in ICU, or 42.53 percent of ICU occupancy. ICU is 76.1 percent occupied statewide.

There are 672 deaths attributed to covid-19 statewide. This caused the death rate to decrease to 0.489 percent Tuesday.

Wasatch County has 1,421 all-time covid-19 cases and 46 all-time hospitalizations for the disease.

There is a newly recorded death in Wasatch County Tuesday, raising the net total to 10.

Per information from the Wasatch County Health Department, this death was a woman over 80 who did not pass away at a care center.

She passed away last week, per the health department, and was ruled to have been a covid death based on unspecified criteria conducted by the Utah State Health Department.

She was hospitalized but passed away at home, the Wasatch County Health Department confirmed.
