Bentonville Arkansas Temple Groundbreaking Occurs Saturday

BENTONVILLE, Ark.-Saturday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints conducted a groundbreaking ceremony for the Bentonville Arkansas Temple.

Presiding at the event was Elder David A. Bednar of the Church’s Quorum of Twelve Apostles.

Elder Bednar, a former professor at the University of Arkansas (Fayetteville) assisted in the organizations of two Arkansan stakes: including the Bentonville Arkansas Stake.

This temple was announced in October 2019 by Church President Russell M. Nelson and will be constructed on 25,000 square feet. It will also feature a central spire.

There are 32,307 Latter-day Saints in Arkansas in seven stakes. There are missions in Arkansas in Bentonville and Little Rock.
