PORTO ALEGRE, Brazil-Monday, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints announced another temple has advanced to Phase 2 of reopening.
The Porto Alegre Brazil Temple has achieved this distinction per a statement from the Salt Lake City-based faith.
Under the Church’s protocol, Phase 2 entails all living ordinances being performed only with restrictions.
The Porto Alegre Brazil Temple was dedicated December 17, 2000 by then-Church President Gordon B. Hinckley.
This temple serves Brazilian Latter-day Saints in the following stakes and districts.
Stakes: Alegrete, Bage, Canoas, Canoas North, Caxias do Sul, Cruz Alto, Gravatai, Livramento, Novo Hamburgo, Passo Fundo, Passo Fundo South, Pelotas, Pelotas North, Porto Alegre, Porto Alegre Moinhos de Vento, Porto Alegre North, Porto Alegre Partenon, Porto Alegre South, Rio Grande, Santa Cruz do Sul, Santa Maria, Santo Angelo, Sao Leopoldo, Uruguaiana, Viamao and Tubarao.
Districts: Gramado, Osorio, Sao Borja, Sao Gabriel, Sao Jeronimo, Sao Laurenco do Sul.
