SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, the Utah covid-19 daily data was updated by the Utah State Department of Health.

There have been 80,446 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah per Wednesday’s report. This is an increase of 1,007 in the past 24 hours.

881,440 Utahns have been tested for covid-19. This is an increase of 5,839 in the past 24 hours.

Presently, 59,289 recoveries from covid-19 have occurred in Utah. This resulted in a recovery percentage increase for the first time in more than a month, to 73.7 percent. Tuesday, this was at 73.6 percent.

The 59,289 recoveries represent an increase of 629 in the past 24 hours. Since Monday, there have been 939 more recoveries than active cases.

Active cases in Utah in the past 24 hours increased by 244 to 20,661. The active case percentage dropped to 25.68 percent.

There are now 38,628 more recoveries than active cases in Utah. This is an increase of 511 in the past 24 hours.

There have been 4,113 hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah. Of these, 226 are current, or 5.5 percent. Of the 226, 87 are in ICU, or 38.5 percent. ICU is 72 percent occupied in Utah.

There are eight new deaths attributed to covid-19 in Utah in Wednesday’s report. The current death percentage in Utah is 0.616 percent.

Wasatch County saw 10 new cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours as the net total increased to 865. There are two new recorded hospitalizations in the same span, raising the total to 36. The death total remained at 8. The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Utah occurred October 3.
