WASATCH MOUNTAIN STATE PARK, Utah-A man was killed Saturday afternoon when his UTV plunged off of an 100o-foot embankment at Wasatch Mountin State Park per news from the Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office.
The Sheriff’s Office confirmed 61-year-old Patrick Dugmore was on a hunting trip in the Little Deer Creek Area Saturday. His family then called authorities, telling them they were concerned for his welfare when he did not return Saturday evening.
Wasatch County Search and Rescue crews and conservation officers from the Division of Wildlife Resources and rangers from Utah State Parks began to search for Dugmore Sunday morning.
The Wasatch County Sheriff’s Office reported Dugmore’s body was discovered at 10:00 am along with his UTV at the bottom of the embannkment of the Little Deer Creek Trail.
The victim was believed to have been wearing a seat belt, but not a helmet.
The incident is presently under investigation.
