SALT LAKE CITY-Tuesday, updated statistics for covid-19 were revealed by the Utah State Department of Health.

There have been 72,136 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah per Tuesday’s report. This is an increase of 694 in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 133 in the same span.

821,864 Utahns have been tested for covid-19, an increase of 4,403 in the past 24 hours.

There have been 54,844 recoveries from covid-19 in Utah. The currently recovery percentage in Utah is 76.02 percent.

There are 16,835 active cases of covid-19 in Utah. The current active case percentage in Utah is 23.4 percent.

There have been 3,807 recorded hospitalizations in Utah. Of these, 183 are currently hospitalized, or 4.8 percent.

Of the 183, 71 are in ICU, or 38.8 percent. ICU is 60.8 percent occupied presently.

There are 457 deaths in Utah that have been attributed to covid-19, an increase of four in the past 24 hours.

The death percentage in Utah is 0.633 percent for covid-19.

Wasatch County saw 11 new cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours, raising the total to 781. Hospitalizations (33) and deaths (7) attributed to covid-19 in the past 24 hours did not change in Wasatch County.

The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred August 28.

Wasatch County Health Department health education and media relations coordinator Trudy Brereton confirmed the recovery percentage in Wasatch County is currently 83.3 percent. There are 651 recoveries.
