Friday covid-19 Statistics For Beehive State

SALT LAKE CITY-Friday, covid-19 statistics were updated for the Beehive State by the state department of health.

Since statistics began being kept, there have been 45,976 recorded cases of covid-19. This is an increase of 552 in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 218 in the same span.

There have been 589, 817 Utahns tested for covid-19 since statistics began being kept. This is an increase of 5,161 in the past 24 hours.

This caused the positive test percentage to increase to 7.79 percent Friday, from Thursday’s 7.76 percent.

The 24-hour positive test percentage increased to 10.69 percent Friday from Thursday’s 9.69 percent.

There are 36,679 recovered cases as confirmed in Friday’s report. This is an increase of 862 recoveries in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 356 in the past 24 hours.

The current recovery percentage from covid-19 in the Beehive State is 79.77 percent.

There are 8,937 active cases currently in Utah. This is a decrease of 317 in the past 24 hours.

The active case percentage fell to 19.43 percent Friday.

The differential between recovered and active cases is currently 27,742, or a net increase of 1,179 in the past 24 hours.

There have been 2,744 hospitalizations for covid-19 in Utah since statistics began being kept. This represents a net increase of 23 in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 171 hospitalizations for covid-19. This is a net decrease of 13 in the past 24 hours, dropping the covid-19 current hospitalization percentage to 6.23 percent. This is down from Thursday’s 6.76 percent.

There are currently 69 covid-19 hospitalizations in ICU out of the 171, or 40.3 percent of ICU. Presently, 66 percent of ICU is occupied in Utah.

There have been 360 deaths attributed to covid-19 in Utah, representing a net increase of seven in the past 24 hours.

This increased the death rate percentage to 0.783 percent. Thursday, this was at 0.777 percent.

Wasatch County saw four new cases of covid-19 in the past 24 hours. This increases the Wasatch County net case covid-19 total to 588.

There is one new hospitalization in Wasatch County in the past 24 hours, bringing the net total to 23 hospitalizations.

The death count in Wasatch County remains unchanged in the past 24 hours, staying at four.

The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred July 6.
