Utah covid-19 stats for Wednesday

SALT LAKE CITY-Wednesday, covid-19 statistics in Utah were updated for the Beehive State by the state department of health.

Since statistics began being kept, there have been 42,328 recorded cases of covid-19 in Utah. This is an increase of 421 in the past 24 hours and a net increase of 43 in the same span.

There have been 550,322 Utahns tested for covid-19 since records began being kept. This is an increase of 5,366 in the past 24 hours.

Symmetrically, the positive test percentage stayed at 7.69 percent Wednesday. The 24-hour positive test percentage dropped to 7.84 percent Wednesday. Tuesday, this was at 7.91 percent.

There are presently 30,911 recovered cases from covid-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 462 recoveries in the past 24 hours and a net decrease of 20 in the same span.

The current recovery percentage in Utah from covid-19 is 73.027 percent.

There are currently 11,090 active cases of covid-19 in the Beehive State. This is a net decrease of 47 in the past 24 hours.

The current active case percentage of covid-19 in Utah is 26.2 percent.

The differential between recovered and active cases is currently 19,821. This represents a net increase of 509 in the past 24 hours.

There were six new deaths attributed to covid-19 in the past 24 hours in the Beehive State. This increases the death total to 327. The current death percentage in Utah for covid-19 is 0.772 percent. Tuesday, this number was at 0.765 percent.

There are two new recorded cases of covid-19 in Wasatch County in the past 24 hours, raising the net total to 538 cases.

The hospitalizations (20) and deaths (4) remain unchanged in the past 24 hours in Wasatch County. The most recent death attributed to covid-19 in Wasatch County occurred July 6.
