The Upper Provo Fire is now estimated to be at 378 acres. Its cause is still under investigation this evening. All hikers and campers have left the dispersed camping areas off Murdock Basin Road (Fores Road No. 137) and Broadhead Meadows Road.

This blaze is estimated at 30-40 acres. As a precautionary measure, and to allow fire suppression equipment to be transported, hikers and campers are being asked to leave the area. This is off of Broadhead Meadows Road (Forest Road No. 416).

Friday, the Upper Provo Fire commenced on Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest.
This is located on the Heber-Kamas Ranger District at milepost 22 on the east side of the Mirror Lake Highway in the Murdock Basin Area.
