This action, per a statement from whitehouse.gov, allows residents of Davis and Salt Lake Counties to receive grants for temporary housing and home repairs.
This also includes low-cost loans to cover uninsured property losses and other programs to assist individuals and business owners recovering from effects of this disaster.
Federal funding is also available on a cost-sharing basis for hazard mitigation throughout the Beehive State.
Additional designations may be made at a later date if the state requests them and if warranted by the results of further damage assessements.
