ST. GEORGE, Utah-32-year-old Tommy James Bradshaw Jr. was booked into the Washington County Jail early Wednesday for investigation of murder.
The St. George man was arrested after being accused of shooting his roommate to death.
He was formally charged with a first-degree felony by midday Wednesday in 5th District Court.
Bradshaw told authorities he was at home when his roommate returned, “hitting Tommy’s bedroom door loudly” per a police affidavit.
The affidavit attests Bradshaw had retrieved a handgun from his closet. He then proceeded to deactivate the safety, operate the slide and leave his room to seek out the victim.
Bradshaw then located the victim in the closet, pointing the gun at him before pulling the trigger and seeing him fall to the ground, per the affidavit.
