HURRICANE, Utah-Saturday morning at the Washington County Fairgrounds of Hurricane, the final events in the Utah High School Rodeo Association occurred.
The first place finisher in each event is the state champion with the top four finishers qualifying for the high school rodeo nationals at Guthrie, Okla. July 17-23, 2020.
Various Wasatch High School athletes qualified. They include Abbi Bowthorpe, who placed second in girls cutting (133.5 points), Waylen Daley, who finished fourth in boys high school bull riding (86.5 points) and Karissa World, who placed fourth in the co-ed reined cow horse competition (79.5 points).
The girls’ all around champion is West Millard’s Marynn Moody with 331.5 points.
