SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, a 32-year-old man was arrested and accused of killing a 73-year-old man in Fairview.
32-year-old Michael Hartnell was arrested for investigation of murder per a statement from the Sanpete County Sheriff’s Office in Manti.
Around 5:20 pm Monday, emergency dispatchers received a call from Hartnell “stating he had killed someone and wanted to turn himself in,” per a sheriff’s office statement.
Deputies went to a residence on Cobble Ridge Road in the Hideaway Valley area. Upon their arrival, they discovered Joseph Vallejo was dead.
