SALT LAKE CITY-Friday afternoon, Utah Gov. Gary Herbert honored 2020 high school graduates in the Beehive State via his official Twitter account.
The statement lauds the seniors for adhering to social distancing guidelines and he confirms “our state is lucky to have you.”
Herbert then encouraged the graduates to go onto higher education, encouraging them to sharpen their educational skills at the next level.
He then shared a Herbert family quote known as “the seven W’s:” “Work will work when wishy washy wishing won’t.”
Herbert then again congratulated graduates on their graduation and wished them the best as he concluded his statement.
To graduating seniors, congratulations on your achievements! Though we are unable to celebrate this milestone in typical fashion, it does not diminish all your hard work. I have been amazed by the determination you have shown and am proud to have you as part of our state. pic.twitter.com/sRYL31pM8X
