SALT LAKE CITY-Monday, statistics were updated for COVID-19 in the state of Utah.
There are presently 8,521 cases of COVID-19 in the Beehive State. This is an increase of 129 cases int he past 24 hours.
However, it is also a -3 decrease from Sunday’s totals. There have been 196,468 tests for COVID-19 administered in Utah entering Monday. This is an increase of 2,035 tests from the previous day’s totals.
The net positive test percentage for COVID-19 in the Beehive State is 4.337 percent. It increased from 4.316 percent on Sunday because of the minimal amount of tests administered in the past 24 hours.
The positive test percentage in the past 24 hours increased to 6.33 percent, which is again explained because of the minimum amount of tests that occurred from Sunday-Monday.
Presently, there are 692 hospitalizations in Utah from COVID-19, but only 93 are presently being hospitalized, or 13.4 percent.
There are now 98 deaths from COVID-19 in Utah, an increase of one in the past 24 hours. This new death was a woman in Cache County.
Wasatch County presently has 247 cases of COVID-19. This is an increase of six in the past 24 hours. There remain 11 hospitalizations and one death from the disease in COVID-19. This death occurred April 10.
