MANILA, Philippines-Members of the Davao Interfaith Group representing Focolare Movement, Brahma Kumaris Meditation Center and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, along with various businesses and assembled and delivered 1,300 face shields to health care workers battling the global pandemic.

BALTIMORE-In mid-April, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sent truckloads of humanitarian donations to the Nation’s Moque at Hyattsville, Md., the Langston Hughes Community Center of Baltimore and Masjidullah Inc., a Philadelphia-based non-profit.

Each organization received 40,000 pounds of food and essential supplies.

ASUNCION, Paraguay-Paraguay’s health care facilities have been assisted by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints conducting blood drives in early April. Under careful guidelines, the blood drives occurred in Neemby and Lambare, Paraguay.

SANTIAGO, Chile-In April, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile worked together to secure a unique way for Chileans traveling in the U.S. to return home during COVID-19 amid subsequent travel bans.

The Church helped 140 stranded Chileans return home by providing a flight from Los Angeles to Santiago.

LIMA, Peru-Representatives of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints coordinated with the Interreligious Committee for Refugees and Migrants in Peru to deliver baskets of supplies to roughly 1,000 Venezuelan refugees.

KAMPALA, Uganda-The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provided a donation of 10,000 hand hoes to the Ugandan State Minister of Disaster Preparedness and Refugees, the Honorable Musa Francis Ecweru. President Walter Chatora of the Uganda Kampala Mission presented these tools to the Ugandan government.

COLLEGE STATION, Texas- College Station Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints bishop Stephen Cooper donated nearly 10,000 masks to Baylor Scott & White Clinic of College Station, CHI St. Joseph Health of neighboring Bryan, Texas and CapRock Hospital of Bryan.
